Finally!!! Napkin Poetry in print....

I'm so excited about this! As of July, my poetry book that's been about 10 years in the making is finally available in print. I even designed the cover, how cool is that?!

To check out this book, buy it, or even preview it, go to my Lulu storefront or to my Storenvy store. Please note that the copies available through Storenvy come directly from me & are signed =).

Anyone who knows the crazy comfort of being in a group of regulars at coffee, sitting at the cafe with a journal, or jotting down little ideas and doodles and notes on napkins will be able to appreciate this book and all it has meant to me over the course of the past few years.

I hope you read & enjoy =).

....

In other news, I'm currently working on a collection of my short stories to publish, as well as a novel based loosely on my Domestic Violence experience in my first marriage. I'm gathering up a combination of short stories, poetry, and flash fiction for another book, too, so there's lots going on in the world of Jen's crazy thoughts taking over my life!!!

For those of you who don't know, I had a novella published way back in 2005 as well:

The Outside Girl: Perception is Reality available through Amazon.

In this one, a little girl is orphaned and adopted by foster parents who turn out to be abusive and cruel. To deal with this pain and anguish, Ophelia develops a multiple personality disorder and things go downhill for a while.

Though somewhat short, I loved working on this book and brainstorming for some crazy ending that would leave people saying wtf?!

Mission accomplished =).

This little story is in for an overhaul and going to be turned into a trilogy as soon as my contract is up with the publisher. Traditional publishing is overrated... now that we have self-publishing and print on demand, I don't foresee myself ever publishing through anyone but Broken Publications in the future.

So... those are the plans for the future! I have no idea how I'm going to accomplish everything I want to in this short, short life we're given. But one thing is certain: I'm going to have one hell of a time doing everything I possibly can!!!
